Vernal and Nevada Falls, Yosemite National Park

"Third time is a charm!" - they say. Well, it was my third time walking up the most touristy of Yosemite's trails - Mist trail by the Vernal Fall. Last time I hiked this trail was back in 2008, almost 8 years ago, and I can absolutely say: "Nothing has changed since!"

The trail is still not for the faint of heart, which still does not prevent the high-heeled and canvas-shoed tourists from fearlessly scrambling up the path, while leaving you waiting in endless line behind them getting wetter by the minute from the merciless waterfall's mist.

The crowd still thins as you get higher and higher up so that you can actually get a couple of moments to appreciate the beauty in front of you in relative peace:

Hiking to the very top is still absolutely not worth it in terms of the views, but oh so great for your self-esteem:

Don't forget to casually wave at Half Dome. Even 8 years later you are still not up for climbing it:

And finally the gorgeous Nevada Fall from a new vantage point. Last times I rushed right by it on the way up, this time it was our destination point, so we got to soak in the view for a bit:

Spring is the absolutely best time to visit Yosemite's waterfalls. Despite all the crowds, it's still one of the most magical places on this planet!
