Our Summer.

I regret not taking as many photos as I should have. With Greg's brain damage, I've been trying to take as many photos as I can for future recollections. This summer, I've been lacking. It makes me sad, because this summer had so much fun and positivity. I hope he remembers it. He barely remembers 2006-2010 and some of 2011, so this is important to ( Read more... )

Diabetic complications. Well, not really. He took his regular needle before a meal & didn't have the chance to eat. His blood glucose level dipped below 1 (0.3mmol/5.4mg) -- normal levels are between 5 and 8 mmol (90 and 144 mg). he ended up going into the hospital for a few weeks, we weren't even sure if his memory would come back.

The Indian registry thing...is it optional? Do you pick to do it because it is important to you?

We get free optical (glasses and eye tests), free dental, free prescriptions & 4 free years of university (4 more, depending on the success of the individual). It makes up for a bit of injustice in the past.

Actually as the guy I live with is Canadian I already know a bit (the basics) about that....seems like it is pretty fair to me.

You had to send in a form when you got married because only one of you is Indian?

This is a damned good photo set. Your kidlets and your kitten are little sweeties. I laughed pretty hard at the face!
Is that a magic bullet? How do you like it? Our big bulky blender is pretty good, but it's a pain in the ass to lug out all the time so I might get one.
I hope Greg is doing well.

Thank you! Emily makes the craziest faces, I don't even.

That is not a magic bullet. In fact, that is my makeshift mortar and pestle because my food processor whirled chunks of apple and cinnamon clouds around the kitchen. Not impressed. I did have a magic bullet, though. Wasn't happy with it. It broke within a month, and I wasn't using it on hardcore things like whole carrots, or rocks.

Greg is doing very well, actually. I just worry when we look at photos from 2 years ago & he's struggling to remember. I think it's getting better, though. Work is keeping him on his toes & I think is sharpening his memory on a daily basis.
