he just made a lot of really nice-sounding promises without explaining exactly HOW he's going to fix the world. he also reinforced the country's assurance that terrorists are our enemy and yes, we are fighting the good fight (and also he has enabled the gov't to tap private lines of anyone suspected to be a terrorist and they clapped so i guess invasion of privacy is okay if you are really really tan with black hair).
he also proclaimed that everyone should take more math and science so that we can continue to be the dominant economic power in the world. oh! and us nasty homosexuals are still trying to harm the institute of marriage but they're fighting the good fight against that too.
i think that was it. i watched it while working out, it gave me really good motivation. anger.
All I caught of it were the pieces against abortion/stem cell because life is a gift from our creator and we shouldn't fuck it up (by doing stem cell research, which harms those little one-celled eggs, and might have the potential to cure who knows how many diseases for us humans).
Also, Great news! HIVAIDS is no longer a gay disease! Its a black folk disease now! And we're going to fight it through the churches! Which means, of course, abstinence-only education (even though there has been clear research done proving that Bush's abstinence-only education is the only sex ed to ever increase teenage pregnancy and STI rates, including HIV/AIDS).
