Writing

I will be boring you with talk of writing, so I will start off with a recipe for chocolate. What, you say. cschoolgirl, you do realize that you can go by chocolate to eat. Yes, yes, I know that, but I like to make eating chocolate without all the other stuff in it.

Chocolate recipe

A few notes first. This must be kept in the frig or it will melt. Also, I've tried honey as a sweetener and it always separated.

Ingredients
4 oz baker's unsweetened chocolate
8 oz coconut oil (by weight)
2-3 oz maple syrup

Directions

Put all ingredients into a pan over medium heat. Stir constantly to keep chocolate from burning. Do not heat to boiling, just well combined with all chunks melted.
Line a pan with parchment paper. (I use a 10x6, but any size will work. The resulting chocolate will just be thinner or thicker.) Place into the frig several hours until it is solid all the way through. Using a large knife cut into bit size pieces and place in a covered container in the frig.

On to the writing stuff.

Right Here Waiting Series

This is my big project I'm afraid I won't finish. Maybe if I put it down on LJ I will feel the need to push through until at least part of the stories are finished.

This series is to explore the different circumstances that Logan (DOFP) might wake up to that are different from the movie. Then each story is to carry through to Logan and Rogue's first kiss.

1. gravidus in Latin - ready for beta (pregnant Rogue)

2. Goodbye to Yesterday - ready for beta (morning after)

3. Pain - Half done (Rogue works for Mystique - comic influence)

4. Will You Remember? - Half done (save Rogue)

5. Concupiscence - been beta'd needs major fixing (Rogue wants Logan)

6. no title yet - Half done (over protective Logan - guilty feelings)

7. The Reason (?) - just started (Logan wakes up on 'battlefield')

I also have my sequel to Set the Time ready to go to betas if RL would get out of the way so I can polish up the story I just got back from my betas.

Speaking of sequels I need one to After Action Review. I actually woke up in the middle of the night and said to myself:

Logan thinks he needs to make up to Rogue for his behavior. He takes her to replace the bra and panties that she dumped in the trash. But he's no dummy about this kind of stuff and takes her to a little boutique in the city that specializes in bras. There a middle-aged lady, winking at Logan, whisks Rogue away for measurements and fitting. Rogue is embarrassed when Logan lays out the cash for bra and panty sets.

Logan becomes vexed when he notices the new confidence that Rogue has in well fitting undergarments. He is concerned with the attention the new confidence is garnering from the male population of the mansion. This leads to his pursuit of Rogue; smooches and other things happen.

Someone should get on that story right now.
