I love you. I like this pairing when we see just how much the Doctor as a character has changed and the Masters reaction to it. I like that you have DelgadoMaster compromising and recognising the boundaries set. I think you've got nine down really well as well.

Pairing new series Doctors with Classic Masters is a good way of showing how much the Doctor has changed IMHO. The Master knows the Doctor the best, and he would be the one who would notice changes that may not be obvious to anyone else.

Yeah, I've not been spending much time on LJ recently, partly because I was on holiday (I had a great time, despite the weather, which was, predictably, rainy. But it was still enjoyable, thank you for asking :D)

And now my life is really busy again, so I've not got very much time to do all the things I want to do (like writing fic - I know, I'm obsessed, but this is the first bit of writing I've done in weeks :))

I'm trying to catch up with people's LJ entries and fic and trying to comment, but I think I've missed quite a few. So that's probably why no one's heard from me for a while.

Honestly, when will RL stop getting in the way of fandom? :o)

Rather an interesting story! And yes, I agree that the Master would recognize changes that others couldn't. I'm not sure that SJS saw the tragic man hiding behind Ten's smile in SR, as example.

I agree with your thoughts on SJ. Really, the Doctor's companions know very little about him, but the Master has been there from the start and probably knows him better than anyone.

Aw, Nine's breaking my heart here, and I love that the Master keeps thinking of ways to turn it to his advantage and then not doing it.

The Master wouldn't be the Master if he ddin't try to turn every single situation to his advantage, but at the same time I think he would be the one that would recognise when the Doctor just couldn't handle it.
