Summary: The aftermath of the Time War.
Eyelashes flicker. A small groan escapes his lips. Fingers flex experimentally. New fingers. New eyes open slightly, squinting up at the dark interior of the dead TARDIS. Memories flood back, memories of death and Daleks and burning. He doesn’t want to wake; doesn’t want to face reality of what’s happened. What he’s done.
If he wakes he’ll have to face the silence. He’ll have to look in the mirror and see the face of a murderer.
But there are still worlds that need saving. It’s his duty. He owes the Universe that. And so he wakes to face another day
