Chimera wire

I was looking through my bin-o-wires today looking for a power cord when I cam across a dongle that looked a little odd to me. On one end the wire Y-ed out into two plugs - the first being a yellow video cable for composite video, the other a round power plug that you might plug into a pair of cheap speakers or other relatively small device. Could it be a cord for a KVM? The most standard configuration on those seems to be VGA with PS/2. Might be wrong, just the first idea I had when reading your description of it.

I have one KVM, and the plugs are clearly Ks, Vs, and Ms. Good guess though.

Something similar came with my ATI All-in-wonder card (I believe) a long time ago. It plugged into another adapter that they had (a big purple thing, I think). I never really understood the point of it either...but I'm sure there must be some use for them.

My guess is that it is probably for one of my three ATI All-in-wonder cards that I have floating around or possibly for the reciever for my wireless helmet cam. The wire didn't fit into my purple thing, that is an s-video plug on mine. There are some funky holes in the card itself, but I don't feel like crawling back behind my computer to find out.

After further thought, I do think it plugs directly into the card. I don't have my card anymore, so I can't test that theory though.
