Greg's stomach did a painful backflip when he heard Nick's voice through the phone. He tried to speak, but it was more difficult than he had anticipated. He was still wincing with pain from the man's various blows.
"N-nick?" He whispered, his voice barely audible. He glanced up at his assailant, wondering how much he could say. He noticed him standing over him, an evil grin on his face and his hand on his pistol. And then Greg realized that even if he did have the opportunity to give over some information to Nick, he didn't have any. Greg didn't have the slightest clue where he was. "Nick?" He tried again, a bit louder, and his voice came out in a painful rasp.
"I... I don't knowww.. closet... ropess.." Greg slurred, the blood rolling down his face. He noticed dully that it was getting all over the phone. But he didn't care. He was talking to Nick again. Wasn't there something he needed to talk to him about?
Oh yeah. He had forgotten.
"Tim?" He blurted out, more forcefully than he intended, which sent him into a fit of coughing.
The tight feeling in his chest tightened as he heard Greg go into a coughing fit. "Tim?" Nick's brow furrowed in confusion. What did Greg want to know about Tim? And why did he sound so angry about it? He shook his head. It wasn't important right now. "Greg. Listen to me. I need to know where you are. Anything could help us find you. Just tell me everything that you've seen or heard up until now."

He sounded horrible.
But he was alive.
"Greg! Are you okay? Where are you?" He clutched onto the wall, feeling as though he would fall over if he let go.
'Please tell me you're okay.' He begged silently.
