So Luke/Ash finally made peace and is enjoying a content life--that's all that matters. Good thing he's kept in contact with the Snyders too.

Wonderful, bittersweet ending to a fabulous story.

And the fairy dust ending is so adorable too, btw. :)

Thanks. I like the idea of Reid's ashes being somewhere nearby (since in a lot of ways, Luke was Reid's home), but also being someplace symbolic. Hence the Chess and Checkers House in Central Park.

As for the fairy dust - how could I resist?

I've actually read this four times since you've posted it. I love it with each reading. You ended it perfectly. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it. You know how much I love this story, but I honestly don't know if I can say it enough. I've loved this from the first chapter on.

Oh wow. Thank you so much. I actually wrote and re-wrote the last few paragraphs about a dozen times. Then, I pitched a fit and refused to so much as even look at it for a few hours. Then I re-wrote it again. lol

I'm glad you're smiling. I actually had a good idea where the story was going to end when I started writing it. I was afraid of how it would be received.

I just finished reading this and WOW. You made the transition from soap opera to dramatic storytelling seamlessly. A DarkLuke who'd have thunk it. Still totally believable and in character. Compelling and a good read. Thanks for sharing.
