Fic: all good (and bad) things come to an end {fringe}

May 24, 2010 19:36

My first fic, EVA, and probably the last... I may decide to do more in the future, but, for now, I just want to concentrate to making fanart.

But everybody should do anything for their team, right?? This is my preferable ending for Fringe.. Too cheesy, but I'd like it :)

For challenge 14 in jjverse

“And the day arrived… They faced each other in exactly the same way they had, 5 years before.
-You took my family, said the Blonde one. My sister. My niece. My house, my job, my friends. The man I care about the most in this world. And you still believed that I wouldn’t find a way to come back here?
- I didn’t think you’re gonna be strong enough, Brunette answered her, in the most sarcastic way.
- Oh, even if you hadn’t taken anything of me, I’d still figure out a way to come and smack that pretty face of yours.
-Can you hurt yourself?
-Can you run fast?
Before she could try to react to anything, Blonde hit her in the face. The two women started fighting with all the strength they possessed. They hated each other so very much, despite the fact they were the same person. Nobody could outwin the other. They couldn’t stop. They wouldn’t stop.

Until something stopped them.

Actually, not something. Rather, someone.
Brunette fell on the ground, never to stand up again. Blonde was confused. She looked around, trying to figure out who was the one that helped her. To figure out who was her savior. Suddenly, she felt somebody coming to her direction.

- It’s good to see you again.

A feeling she hadn’t experienced in many years came this day to feel her entire body. It wasn’t happiness, nor sadness. It wasn’t excitement, nor disappointment. It was relief. She was relieved. Because she could see those warm blue eyes again.
Without further delay, she ran towards him, the man she cared about the most in the whole world. She hugged him with all the remaining strength. She had so much to say to him. But the only thing that could come out of her mouth was something simple:

-I missed you.”

Someone knocked the door.

-And then, mum?

-I’ll finish if off when you get back, Liz. It must be grandpa. Get your coat.

Liz’s mum got up from her chair, and opened the door.

-Is she ready, Olivia?

-Of course she is, Walter. You know that she can hardly wait for your Adventurous Thursdays, Olivia told him while giving one of her well-known smiles.

-Grandpa!! Liz yelled, while running towards Walter.

-My sweet Liz!! Look what I brought you, he said while reaching for his pocket.

-Twizzlers!!! I love them! Can we go now??

-Sure. Bye, Olivia.

-Bye, mummy!! she said and gave her mum one of her well-known smiles.

-Goodbye, sweetie. Bye, Walter..

As soon as she heard the door closing, that same relief that the heroine in the story, Blonde, had, had overwhelmed her.

-How were you going to finish the story? asked Peter.

-Well, before Blonde got the chance to finish her sentence, the guy with the warm blue eyes, kissed her for the second of many times to come.
But she kissed her like it was the first time, you know? Because that first time, in the hotel room, was a little bit an act of despair, rather than a declaration of their love for each other. Plus, he hadn’t seen her in 5 years. He may have had the perfect replacement, but deep down he knew that the woman he faced every day in work, wasn’t the same woman he knew before. It wasn’t his Blonde.

-Hmm, he sounds like a very clever guy.

-Oh, really? So, he’s nothing like you…

They both smiled.

-Shall we go? Peter suggested. We’ll be late and Broyles is going to fry us alive.

-Ok, ok. Coming, Olivia said. She grabbed her jacket, and thought of that unique moment, in Blonde’s story. In her story. ‘How quickly time passes’, she said to herself, while closing the door behind her.
