CSSSA 2011 - Creative Writing

I found out about CSSSA a couple weeks ago, and I've been researching it like crazy. It seems really great, and I've decided to apply for creative writing, but I still have a couple questions ( Read more... )

2. You don't need to include or explain it, and yes, it can be anything. I did a series of four haiku based off of a picture of boots for mine, haha.

I'm just nervous, because i was inspired off a photo of a couple kissing. two people i don't even know, but i was inspired by it, and I love my poem, but I didn't know if they would be okay with that. I hope they will be.

I just want my application to be perfect. impossible, I know.

haha i know exactly how u feel! i'm applying for creative writing as well. i wish i could answer ur questions but im clueless haha anyways hope u get in! hopefully we both do:) hope so it looks so cool

1. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter, and I don't see why not. There are no restrictions on that. In fact, I think it'd be better having a teacher that's known you longer than a teacher that's known you for a few months to write a recommendation letter. The applicant evaluation part of it would be more accurate (:

I'm applying for creative writing too! Hopefully I'll see you there.

I'm using a middle school teacher as one of my recs, but I still work with her. I do a research paper every year with her and I'm volunteering as a peer teacher for her students.

Oh jeez,guys. Are you all in-state writers? I'm from out of state and I'm so nervous to apply...they only take about 20 people total out of state so I really need to up my game. Do you know if we have to format the dialogue assignment for a specific medium, like a script or screenplay format?
