I've definitely heard that it's impossible to go friendless at CSSSA, but I am curious anyway: have any of you alumni had any bad experiences with people

Haha, I'm only quite out of my 'confort zones,' haha, AKA places without any of my current friends-- I feel awkward talking to people without friends somewhere at least kinda near me.
Haha I don't mind being friends! YEAAAAAA FRIENDSHIP!!!! /i am so weird aaaa
I've read around and people said not to be worry about being quiet! I'm more worried that I won't be able to continue a conversation with someone coz I hesitate a lot with what to say with people I don't know and then I might make things awkward orz
My first year I went, I went in friendless and while my roommates themselves were rather "eh", I found friends in my department. From my experiences at CSSSA (I've gone 3 times, I'm an animation alumni), you will more than likely not only make friends, but friends for life.
My advice to you would be to look forward to meeting new people who are just as passionate about your art form as you are! If you spend time worrying about people not liking you, how will you have fun? However, if you do find yourself having trouble with individuals, the best thing to do is talk to RA's or teachers if there is a problem. However, I think you will be having the time of your life in the first few days of CSSSA. It's a blast, I tell you!
Thanks for responding! Haha, you are right; I will do my best to find and make friends with people...even if I will be dying of nervousness approaching people haha!!
Two months ago I went to the wedding of one of my closest friends who I met at CSSSA. It doesn't even matter if you don't get along with some people (because you won't). The friends that you will make are going to be amazing. Plus, if you're an artist, best to get used to grating personalities now.
Thanks so much for responding! And wow, it sounds amazing that you and your friend have stuck together for so long!! Haha now I'm really looking forward to what kind of friends I will make there.
