Operation Typewriter Monkey, Day 11: My Hand Freakin' Hurts

In an effort to encourage myself to write entirely through a first draft and prevent myself from going back and editing as I go, I've begun writing my novel long-hand. With a pen, in a very nice unused leather journal I received as a gift from my fiancee a few years ago. My hand hurts.

On the bright side, I've gotten a lot done because of this

Maybe I have to start doing this to get myself to write more often. This is a brilliant idea. Is it actually getting you to write more yet? Based on your stats, not necessarily. But what do I know

Depends on what you mean by "more". More often? More consistently? Then yeah, it really works. More words? Well, that's still out. Right now, I'm much slower writing by hand than typing, but I spend more overall time actually writing...so it probably about evens out.
