So I bought a new video card today because I though that the power outage fried my old one... but I'm still getting the same problem.

Here's a screen shot of my Device Manager...

(Note: Why it says it's on PCI slot 1 is beyond me because it's an AGP card and it's plugged into my AGP port O_o)

yeah, i tried that with my old card.

i think it probably is the agp port which really, really sucks. i wish i could just replace the port without replacing the entire motherboard. heh.

i'll probably end up taking it back to circuit city and getting the PCI version :/

send me the NEW graphics card and ill let u know if it lets me play sims 2...if it does, ill send you screenshots Lol :) wish i could help, but im not a computer nerd for hardware *hugz* still love you though :)

talked to one of my computer gurus, he said it sounds like ur motherboard is frying and the AGP port went first :& im me later today for his sn ;)
