Nothing like a good shower after 12 days! I'll bet that felt good. Love of place is a powerful emotion, and it gets us every time...I feel that way about the Shenandoah Valley in VA and pretty much all of Italy. It's a visceral thing.

But you do carry it all forever with you, everywhere you go. Like Hemingway's Paris in his "moveable feast."
