I was hoping you'd see that trailer! I was so fired up when I heard the music from Yamato, or as I remembered it, 'Starblazers' playing in the background... they can't bring this over here fast enough.

As for your question, I believe the answer is, given a sufficiently random selection of increasingly bizarre ideas, you'll find extreme coolness if you cut down the middle, and extreme weirdness on the fringe... (I'd worry if the television show was mass-market, but hey, Iron Chef seemed pretty weird too - a decade ago!!!)

Incidentally, I'm on a crusade to get Melissa's band to cover the j-pop version of the theme from 'Ponyo'... and my plan is CLOSE, very close to succeeding!
