SO - we all can acknowledge the fact that I am a sucky writer, I think. With that in mind, I'm writing for NaNoWriMo anyway. And in the spirit of "I like you all . . .no, really . . .why would you think I'm lying to you?", I have chosen to inflict upon share with you my opening paragraph. Yeah, I'm flicker at NaNo.

I don't think I'm going to post excerpts very often. I just put my opening paragraph up, and that's gonna stay. But I'm updating my word count.

Is this one of those books where the Heroine rips off her skin and transforms into a snarling Gargoleth from the Crab Nebula, and then proceeds to run for political office on the "Total Subjugation" platform?

Ooh, that's a good idea! Way better than mine! I decided last night that if anyone wants to subject themselves to my "creative writing", they can - it's at mental_rose. Working title: "Fairy Tales are for Suckers".

Total Subjugation Platform. I like that. How'd the Whirling Vortex of Doom turn out, by the way?
