Is anyone having problems with their professors not knowing how to use Vista? I'm starting to think that my Econ teacher is a dumbass. I won't be taking macro online with MxCC next semester.
hehe. My English professor at TRCC told every one to go to the school's homepage to get there...we here all know the faster way is vista.ctdlc.org, and no one else in my class has a computer course this semester, so I had to point that out. If you can avoid it-don't take a class with Carol Ward at TRCC!!
I am just extremely frustrated, and it seems like my entire class is too. I'm taking an online course because I had a good experience online over the summer. This class so far has been pretty bad. The professor never posted due dates for our assignments or deadlines for when quizzes would be available. He told us 2 weeks ago that it would be on the calendar. Now all of a sudden there are deadlines that no one was informed of, everyone discovered this when they went to take the quiz on Sunday (as 75% of the class did the first 2 weeks) and the quiz was no longer available. It expired at 11:59pm Saturday. I emailed him about it and he said to write a 2 page paper on anything we've covered thus far to receive credit for the quiz. Taking a quiz takes 30 minutes, writing a paper takes hours. I was prepared to take the quiz! It's not my fault I couldn't take it. And I have yet to get a response from the teacher for a due date for this paper. It's just so frustrating!
THe fact that the site cant handle all the students it has is insane. Put that on top of HOW SLOW IT IS and it kills me. But i will have to say this the ONE teacher out of 4 that uses it(its my online 202 ENG class) uses it really well. WE take test and quiz's and do our weekly homework and papers on it NOW IF IT WASNT SO SLOW. oh and it lost one of my quiz's too thank god she had the score but not the results. I do say it sucks but ill try one posters suggestion and go right to thier page first.
Most of the classes I'm taking are computer courses, so my professors know what they're doing, but even still, only one of them really uses it, and that's limited. They go with the sites provided by the book publisher, which are a lot easier to use.

One of my BOT professors spent hours putting together a nice page, but now it's been down for a few days. That sucks...
