When can you pick up the baby's heartbeat on the outside with a OB/GYN grade doppler?
My sister bought a belly beats one and gave it to me because she isn't having anymore children, I am a little over 7 weeks... I was thinking around 10 weeks?
Anyone know?

heartbeat, belly beats, doppler

You could probably start trying to find it at 10 weeks, but it matters a lot as to where the baby is positioned and how much belly fat you have.
With Hailey we heard it clearly at our 12 week appointment, but with Liam he was positioned in such a way that we couldn't find it at 15 weeks, and I went for an ultrasound to make sure he was okay.
With this baby I didn't try to find it any earlier than 15 weeks, but when we did it was clear on both the fetoscope and the doppler.

10-12 weeks typically, I think.
