School was awful on Friday. One good class, two awful ones. I ended up running late because I had to write up an incident report on one of the knuckle-draggers who is probably getting excluded for a few days. Fortunately (?) the boats were also running late, so I didn't miss my ferry - but it was still late.
Made it to Cheltenham for about half eight, still in my suit, but that went down better than turning up looking skanky from LARP last time I met
trad_faeries flatmates. Downed a beer as quickly as possible while changing into the gothest stuff I could find (I luuuuve my hakama) before shooting out again at about nine to meet a whole bunch of people to go out to an alternative night. I swear one of them was a pirate. They served Snakebite and Black, which always used to be my tipple of choice, so I threw about four of them down my neck, had a bit of a dance and then returned to the home of the aforementioned young lady.
Saturday we didn't get up till quite late, watched a few cartoons (Invader Zim is a creation of artistic genius) and went to Tesco so I could show off my l337 c00k1n6 sk111z, which I duly did (but it could have been better). The bottle of Chateu Neuf du Pape that went with it occluded any shortcomings on the food though, so all was well. Stayed in Saturday night, just chatting and hanging out.
Sunday, we took a trip to Tewkesbury to visit the abbey for an Archaeology project of some kind. I'd buy it, but it's a bit out of my budget just now. Lit a candle for
zero_pixel_count (who isn't dead, but she wasn't there and it's all Catholic and stuff, so it seemed like the thing to do). Had a decent lunch (albeit a bit pricey for what was basically a pub lunch) in a nearby pub/hotel type place and then back to Cheltenham to finish off the cheesecake from the day before. Left about quarter to eight and warped the fabric of SpaceTime to make it to the ferry in record time. Now I go to shower and sleep, for I am tired. I am also very content and positive enough to make it through the next two weeks until I see her again, although this time she's visiting me (and is the first person to do so in a year and a half!)
