After (I think) three years, we finally got the sailboat out today. Unfortunately, we forgot the kayak paddle so Mur couldn't join me out on the water, which was a big disappointment. But the Pink Tornado got a ride, at least ( Read more... )

Yup, 30 year old Sunfish. It's got an orange and red hull, which is kinda nifty.

So, you are saying that there is something nasty under that pretty, pretty water? The lake looked so... innocent... when I saw it last.

When I posted this, I thought it was infectious. Further research has shown that
* There was a sewage spill in January
* But the big problem is the decades-long build-up of industrial PCBs

But I feel fine, so whatever. I'll just be sure not to take quite such a long walk off a short pier next time.

To put it another way, when I got out of the lake and dripped my way into the car, I said "Damn, what's that smell?" And Mur said, "Er, you."

A shower followed soon after.
