I think I just killed my external hard drive. Hundreds of GB of files, all gone. Just...gone....

I don't know what to do, what can I do? All those files...I'll never find them again...never make them again...

And even if I could, the computer says it cannot recognize the hard drive...

I think I'm gonna go cry...

Save that hard drive, don't toss it - hopefully you haven't already. You can recover a hard drive, it's just a pain in the ass and takes a long time.

Its saved, sitting next to my computer. I can't see anything wrong with it after taking it apart, maybe someone else can see something I missed.
