New Year's Day is actually my favorite holiday. I like having an excuse to drink, see friends, and perhaps get deep into the philosophy of lessons learned from the year gone by. With that said, the usual drink and party style events aren't really my thing, given what I really crave a deep discussion ( Read more... )

I'd be interested. I don't want to get totally trash-ed and having any potentially out of control party here would be a bad idea, but a small gathering of people being deep and waxing intellectual would be neat.

not really. i usually try to gather people who've never met. :) that way it's equally ackward for everyone. hee hee.
