I have always had a love for swords and all things rennie... My mom always said I was born with a silver knife in my mouth, not a spoon. By age 10 I owned my first sword, a toledo special, really cheesy, but it was a steel sword. I played swords and knights in the neighborhood as a kid and I also took up archery at age 10 to be like Robin Hood. It just grew from there. I did my first SCA event at the Westport Nature Center at age 14, and placed 4th in the archery tournament. By 10th grade, I made my first chainmail shirt and by 12th grade, I made my first suit of plate mail (using street signs) which I used as my first suit of SCA armor for fighting in. After high school I hooked up with the SCA as a stick jock and an archer and by 22 I was hooked at NYRF.
