Mixed emotions

My day started with a phone call waking me up to tell me I have a job. Yay. Starting Friday I will be doing "material handling" at Yale. Basically from 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday I will be moving furniture and such around the Yale campus in preparation for back to school. This is a temp job but there is no end date. I'm sorry about Squeeker, and that is annoying you have to wait until Sat and will be charged so much. Have you tried calling around to different vet offices and see what they have to say? Maybe someone has better hours?

try calling different vets in your area, as much as that is "your vet" sometimes its worth shopping round, especially since in this case it seems it would be best to be the sooner the better.
i think its the right desicion as hard as it was...

I'm sorry to hear that Squeeker continues to decline. Rather than wait until Saturday, I would take everyones suggestion to "shop around" and find someone that will take you now. Plead your case - you have an animal that is suffering and you would prefer to have it put to sleep rather than wait for it to die on it's own, potentially in much pain.

If you feel that you have said all of your goodbyes, and you are prepared to have Squeeker put down, it may not be necissary that you be there, altho I understand why you would want to be. Good luck Matt, and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

I'm sorry to hear about Squeeker. I remember how tough it was for you when you had to put Fang to sleep. I hope that you can find a vet and dont have to prolong the agony over the next few days.
