So today I worked my second day at Yale. Everything seemed to be going ok, then I mentioned to my boss that I will be needing to see a dentist as soon as possible. I have a broken molar that has gotten to the point that I have an exposed nerve. I have spent most of the weekend living on ibuprofen and anbasol. Her reaction was less then favorable. keep your hopes up, nows actually the right time to be looking for work since all the college kids are leaving to go back to school alot of positions open up in various places...

I'm sorry to hear about your job Matt. Is there no recourse for you? Can you ask the agency to speak on your behalf, or is it possible you can speak to Rachel herself? Why did you wait til you had the job to set up your dental appt? Was it a situation where you needed the money from the job to pay for the dental services? Did you try to get a weekend appt? I know New Haven Dental Group has weekend appts in New Haven, Woodbridge and Hamden ( ... )

I finally spoke to the temp agency. Apparently when you are a temp it is not a good idea to talk to anyone about anything because it may be misconstrued as a complaint or issue. It is also not a good idea to close your eyes when on your break for any reason at all because you might be sleeping on the job ( ... )

sorry to hear that the job wasn't a good thing. please understand that when you work anywhere close to the area (in the tri state area) the new thing is that since there are so many people looking for work that many employeers have the disposable work crew attitude. any reason at all to fire , excuse , terminate , suspend , writin warning , verbal warning. what ever system they come up with is i beleieve to be total ridiculous . i have a real good story about that . a single mom had to go meet the principle of the school because of a attendence problem with her 12 yr old at 8:30am on a monday morning . she arrived at 8:20 with the girl . the principle was late. she arrived at 8:35. so the principle was explaining to the parent about the daughter attendence , apparently being a minute late to class means that your not their at all. so the girl was late for every class after lunch and was marked absent. the parent and the principle explian this to the girl she understood and corrected the problem . it was a bathroom issue . so the ( ... )
