So I took Fang for his surgery this morning. It was explained to me that an adrenalectomy is either very easy or very hard, hence the large price range ($400-$900+). The difference is whether it is the left or right side gland. If it is the left side then he just needs to dig through some fat tissue and remove it, no big deal. I'm glad to hear everything's going well. I'm sorry I couldn't help support the surgery, but I've got major debts myself lol.

Like I said last night online, I'm glad to hear Fang is doing better, and will be around for the long-haul. I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed for him.

This vet sounds like a good guy - you said he's not your regular vet tho. Was he a specialist? Is he someone you can see regularly? He sure sounds like he did good by Fang!

He is a specialist. I had a few names from my regular vet to call and one of them called a colleague who gave me this guys name. So after about 6 different specialists I settled on this guy cuz he seemed like he knew what he was doing and had a lot of experience. The only problem is that his office is in Kensington, up off the Berlin Turnpike. It's a long drive, but if I ever need a specialist for fang again for anything he will be the one I go to. My regular vet is good, he is just not a specialist.
