Portland Vacation May 2022

Friday night we flew into Portland. Layover in SLC. Long one due to delays. SLC looked lovely flying in. I need to spend some time there. Watched Cagney’s Public Enemy on the plane. Landed to a big rain. Not Portland sprinkles. Exhausted paid for a Lyft from the airport. The driver hated Portland. All his friends want to do is cocaine. He's against

File this under "I miss LiveJournal" but I always really like reading people's travel updates, so thanks for that. Haven't spent any time in Portland since maybe 1997 when I was dating someone across the line in Longview WA and we wanted to visit Powell's and not pay sales tax. I'll have to get back at some point.

I went to KC Zine Con over the weekend. All the zines were either comics or well comics. I miss travel zines. Places people go and the things they do and the people they do them with and maybe if they learned something along the way but maybe they didn't. I need like 100 Cometbuses still I guess. Anyway yes that's what I want to read too. Portland is good. I mean failing. But what city isn't. I'd move there.
