David Tennant <3 Him and John Barrowman crack me up.

How's the Eoin Colfer book? I’ve read books by him before and I’ve read the Hitchhiker books but I haven’t got around to reading this one yet.

I do like Terry Pratchett but always feel a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of books he's put out.

Smallville has always been one of those shows that I watched off and on so I've watched many seasons but still have massive gaps. Am watching the 10th and final season now.

I'd say I liked it but didn't love it. I haven't read anything else by him, so all I was expecting was that he wouldn't be Douglas Adams--and he wasn't. It is clear that he loves the original books, though. This reads as a celebration of them, even though it has its own story to tell. I just thought it lacked the bite of the originals and was maybe trying a bit too hard. But it was lovely seeing those characters again.

Terry Pratchett's back catalogue is daunting! I started collecting them in my early teens and I've only just caught up with him. (BTW, if you're ever interested in an opinion on which of his books are most worth it, just let me know.)

That kind of what I suspected about this book, he's not a bad author but he's not exactly the kind of writer I would think of when thinking of someone to continue the series. Having said that I suppose there isn't really anyone who could live up to the genius of Douglas Adams.

Would love to hear your Pratchett recommendations.

I don't know what you've read already, but here are a few of my favourite Pratchetts ( ... )
