today i offered a kid 50 cents in the lunch line because he didn't have enough money. he took it and said thanks and whatnot, but the real point of the story is that afterwards i wondered if i was being incredibly naieve, because the lunch ladies probably would have given him the 50 cents anyways and that my doing so was pointless and pretty
