Another blast from the past.

Apparently it's been almost 6 years since I finished any Winamp skins. Wow, time sure flies. My subdomains have been broken (maybe for a while, oops), including Divide by Zero Winamp skins, but it's back up now ( Read more... )

I can't see the pics, LJ says "access is closed" (whatever that means, I think it's a fancy expression for a 403-error) ;_;

Some time ago piratelicker and I concluded that we were the only people on the planet still using Winamp - welcome to the club! And I started to seriously think that I was the only one still making skins (although, with my domain gone I only upload the pretty ones these days). And now that Clamp re-started Tsubasa, I can see myself switching from Otome games as my main source back to manga.

I don't skin as much as I used to but I still enjoy it. To me, it has something meditative to it and it works as a great stress-reliever.

Oops, images are fixed now. It's been so long since I used LJ's image uploading system that I didn't do it right.

Yay, the still-using-Winamp club! \o/ Honestly, I don't even know what other options there are these days. Windows Media Player??? iTunes? Or are MP3s themselves out of date in this age of Pandora and Spotify?

Also, I didn't know that CLAMP restarted Tsubasa. o_O I never actually read the series, but I remember being annoyed that it didn't have a conclusive ending.

Other than lack of free time, I think the main thing keeping me from skinning is the fact that I am several vacations behind in making photobooks, which is my other visual creative outlet. My husband is about to ban me from all other pastimes until I finish our honeymoon photobook, which is over 2 years late now. ^^;;

Thanks! I like the first one (Lightning?) more. Yay for technie designs!

Most people I know use itunes but that software is a nightmare IMO. Ugly, unwieldy and always trying to phone home. And I bet for many people Pandora (which isn't available where I live anyway) and Spotify are their only sources for music but apparently my taste in music is too weird for commercial streaming services *lol*.

It's called Tsubasa World Chronicle: Nirai Kanai-hen and IMO it looks good so far. I think it's even licensed already.

Well, have fun with your photobooks then! ;)
