Are there any female CTYers going to Columbia College (the women's school in SC, we're the fighting koalas, outr logo is a few white pillars...) this coming fall? I need a roommate and maybe, if there are four of us, suitemates, and it's a very small college and easy to get into, but it's also a very good college and a great teaching school, and it ( Read more... )

I'm no longer in college (graduated in 2005) and I didn't go there. However, you're probably just fine taking whatever roommate they assign you, if the college has any decently detailed forms to fill out to match you with a compatible roommate. If the forms isn't that detailed, that can be problematic, I ended up with a bad roomate that way. Just my 2 cents on the matter, feel free to take it with a grain of salt.

I don't know about the forms but I do know you can pick your roommates so idk. I'll probably be fine but I figured I'd ask because it would be awesome to room with a CTYer.

The name sounds familiar, so probably. I had blue and blonde hair. I wore glasses (like that narrows it down). My RAs were Meredith, Jane, Sam, (Name escapes me. She was tall and kinda heavy with brown hair), and Martha, in that order.

I'm pretty sure there was an Anya on Jane's hall with me. Was that you?

Blah...you're like, tickling at the edge of my consciousness, but I can't put a finger on you (dirty!). I was also really good friends with Shae, through Alyssa.

(And it occurs to me that the Anya on Jane's hall would have been a nomore in 2003 so not so much)

I think I remember you from CTY.

I'm Riva. I had long hair in 03 and really short hair in 04 (dark brown), took Ethics, Cog Psych, and Exit, and liked to go to the poetry readings behind the lower quad. I think I might have met you through a friend briefly once.

Anyway, don't feel bad if you don't remember me because I was really shy during those years.

I recognize the name. We probably saw each other at poetry readings. I also have a face I'm connecting but I'm not sure if it's you or someone else.
