Grocery stores

Is there a grocery store on campus or within walking distance (that would be safe to walk to being a girl on her own likely?) I won't have a car.

There is a convenience store in the Pryz (student union) called The Loft (or the c-store). There is also a Yes! Organic grocery store, a CVS, and 7-11 in Brookland. I'd advise going with a group of people or at least one other person. There is also a Giant grocery store one metro stop away at the Rhode Island Ave. stop.
