Kenn, I have to admit I am very impressed, and would never have guessed you to be the frugal gourmand! Karns has red bell peppers .99/pound. Hopefully will have some left when I stop at the Hershey Karns on my way home from work tomorrow!

The farmers market also had red bell peppers, The basket of peppers that I got was $4.00 and there was probably 20-25 peppers in the basket. Probably close to 15 pounds or more.

It does help having a mother who did alot of canning and we had our 1 acre garden which we grew everything. I had to call her up to find out which apples I should use to make the applesauce.
