Florida felt familiar and sad, which is about what I expected. It also felt a little like home. Seeing Elvis stirred up feelings of sadness, loss, and rejection, which is not what I expected. But I managed to keep my head on straight and remember what everything was really like, and not just fall back into the shiftless comfort zone of 'settling'

'Cause you strive for better than okay? But, unfortunately "Better than okay" is a state of mind more than anything else. So all that matters little. Sometimes the happiest people are the ones in the shittiest situations.
