There were fires in North Warrandyte, Clayton, Wantirna South... Doncaster East. But, all under control. I can't sleep.

6 hours until daylight.

Bunyip fires are too close, too close for comfort.

We're really not that far away... and the late evening sky was a terrible dirt brown from smoke, ash, and dust. It's cleared, but we're still uneasy, and the cooling night air doesn't make me any happier. It's strong. It's like a wind that could give a fire wings.

I AM SO HAPPY, SWEET MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS HOLY. AHAHA.

When I was younger, there used to be an air filter in our room. Basically, it sucks in air, filters out dust, and kicks out the 'clean' air from a vent around the bottom of it. We had to vacumn the filter unit every weekend - but I digress ( Read more... )
