"This is your aunt Catherine. Cat." "Aunt Meow?" "Yes, Aunt Meow?"

This is full of awwwwwsome and just priceless. One day he'll be 20 and shaving and he'll finally he'll ask why he calls her Aunt Meow. My sister's kids are 10 and 8 just wait till you hear what he says when he gets old enough to employ reason and logic.

I love it when kids create their own words for things spideyj December 27 2012, 02:14:56 UTC

One of my older cousins called our grandfather "Cowpa" and there's a classic story of them saying goodbye after a visit and my cousin finally getting impatient and shouting "Go, Cowpa, go!" So we alternately called him Grampa and Cowpa. And I fondly remember my sisters' pronunciation of things like pasgetti (spaghetti), balana (banana) and bitey-ums (vitamins), and of course I still tease them about it from time to time. :)

I'm glad this was a good holiday for you; so far this is shaping up to be the best for me in a very long time as well (though not without its own lingering grief from the past). NYE is more challenging for me and that's still ahead but I feel pretty optimistic that it will be a good one (though I have no plans as of yet).
