Come on in, this is going to take a while.
[ She serves iced tea, and launches into an explanation into Communism. And since she's at level 3, she's telling the truth, the whole truth, and how communism is related to Marxism, with corollary information on how it is different from capitalism, socialism, fascism, monarchy, anarchy, theocracy and democracy. Just to be sure she covers the subject adequately, she details what she knows about the different communist regimes in her world, and how the those systems differ from pure theoretical communism and discusses the Orwellian literary examples (as best she can without having the books handy). ]
[ An hour or three (and a pitcher of iced tea) later, she pauses, her voice a little rough form the constant talking. ]
Now that's before we get into the psychological issues involved with each.
[He comes in and listens to her intently, nodding every couple minutes in recognition.]
My word, so that is what a Communist is. ...I still don't understand why it is so terrible however. I feel like people here hate Communists, but they don't sound too different from regular people. Just with different beliefs and economic values.
Exactly. It's another thing that can be filed under "Humans Are Strange". A great deal of it comes form tribal posturing, and just plain control issues.
[ She rubs her head, eyes closed. ]
Politics like that makes my head hurt. But the thing is, whenever there is an "us", somewhere along the line there has to be a "them" to rail against, even when they were not actively at war.
Mhm, yes politics are an odd thing. They don't quite exist in my dimension. Everyone is cast in a monarchy system by their blood color. The purple bloods of the sea are the rulers, while those on the other side of the scale are considered to be low-class and even mutants to their own race.
There once was a silly joke about a cooperative collective existing within a monarchy, but I'm stretched a bit thin to remember it well enough to give it the delivery it deserves.
If their talent is making up silly texting quirks and being a generally terrible race of aliens, then they are actually very talent I must say! I've been moderating them for millions of years, through paradox space.
There's an exercise in ethics class, where the situation is rather dire for a family expecting another child... and out of that horrible situation came a musical genius.
But then, I tend to focus on finding the individuals that can help my city. It sounds as if your watch area was larger by an order of magnitude or two.
My watch area was an entire planet. Observing for a million years, taking on unwitting proteges to help my efforts, all for the sake of one day seeing them blow themselves up.
It's alright, because I don't know what Shiva even is. [He takes a sip of the ice tea and swallows it down distastefully.] Ugh, are all human drinks this sweet?
[ Ilsa winces as he passes by the house with the megaphone. ]
If you'll put down the megaphone for a few minutes, I'll tell you what you want to know.

I am so not a fan of this system.
