Hm, you were aware for the week the Milkman took over the office of Police Chief? Nothing much happened except school started, and the hotel captured a number of us for a night out. I understand the teens were at the bowling alley, and there was a carnival in town.

Yes, I was here for that fiasco. The capturing people in a hotel, I was not. How troublesome.

[ He rather be trapped in a fancy hotel than forced to drink milk :( ]

Troublesome at different levels. There are a few people most pointedly not talking about it. With a wide range of reactions.

[ She gives a small chuckle, ] As events go, it was one of the less stressful for me. The worst thing about the evening for me was being subjected to the hideous interior decorating.

Really? Well, I suppose people don't always wish to share every moment of their lives on the phone.

That does sound quite unfortunate. These humans from the 1950's time era don't seem to have much style. [Referring of course to that hideous suit he had to wear.]

It's there if you look for it, but the mainstream wasn't looking for style, and that's what we're being wrapped in, here.

How are you now, though? Other than being trapped here, that is. No problems when you came out of the haze?

Given I regain conscious thought while stuck in a mechanical death trap that I didn't know how to operate, I came out rather unscathed.

That's a relief. Any other damage?

Other than the car being wrecked, not really. Just my head getting a bump on my way out of the machine. The car was taken care of.

[Or rather, teleported to some random place in Mayfield. Hopefully a garbage dump.]

Ah, I know a young man who would be interested in the scrap metal, if you hadn't had a use for it. There's a forge over on Brady Street.

For future reference.

Duly noted.

Any suggestions for a bruised head?

[ Oops, you tripped the Emergency Medical Voice subroutine. ]

Did you have any loss of consciousness? Confusion? Sensory misfires or the like?

No, no, and no, all in that order. I just bumped it on the road today by accident.

...are you still in human form, or the one you are used to treating? I ask because humans can be fragile. Head trauma can be sneaky. Please let me know if you develop blurry vision or ringing in your ears.

An icepack will help most bruises, for the next day, about 15 minutes at a time, with a towel or wash cloth between the icepack and your skin.

Human. I'll be sure to let you know, but nothing of that sort has happened just yet. [and hopefully won't.]

Another young lady recommended an ice pack and I've obtained some already. But, it still does not get rid of the discomfort.

I do wish there was an analgesic that wasn't also a blood-thinner over the counter here. Aspirin is the drug of choice in this time, but I worry about head injuries getting worse with it.

If you choose to take it, and the headache doesn't go away soon, call.

Fine, Fine, I'll make sure to call. You are the human medical expert it seems.
