We had a baby shower today out in Gardner, attended by a good number of my central MA relatives and friends. We have a lot of much-needed items crossed off our list and are still overwhelmed by how much is left to get ready for this baby

I think that you don't need to have a million things on your registry as long as you tell people that you need gender neutral stuff. Basically all newborns need the same stuff. Not to say that your baby won't be special, but in the beginning there's like a standard list of stuff that I think most women (especially moms) can figure it out. I bet you'll get a lot of gift cards, and then you can get your own stuff. OR, you could send your sister-in-law on shopping excursions, and I'll get you whatever you want, there's a babies r us right here in Peabody.
As long as you have a crib, bottles, blankets, a car seat, and diapers then you can at least make it home from the hospital. Worse comes to worse you can return any doubles or extras and get what you really want.

Also, if you need to borrow my station wagon to get all the crap (i.e. lovely gifts) from Linda's (or if you would like me to get it for you) let me know, I'd be happy to do it.
