An announcement to you all: Rosey's Bakery has been shut down and is under investigation by the police department while its owner has been arrested for distribution of poison via its pies
( Read more... )
We're still trying to determine exactly what happened, but we do know the pies came from Rosey's, yes. We're working on this alleged messenger that delivered the product.

Not at all.
We've questioned the owner, and we're working on this claim of a third party messenger that apparently delivered the pies. As there have never been problems aside from the typical unlawfulness that goes along with mildly fraudulent books to hide some debt, I think it's worth pursuing.
Minus Piglet, the victims were all loosely connected with the police. My gut's telling me it was simply a general attempt to create chaos, but the presence of Piglet among the victims seems to negate it. So for now, we'll treat it as such until evidence otherwise comes up. It's easy for cops to get riled and take vengeance, especially here -- and that's something I'd very much like to avoid.

So it's certain the owner is factually guilty, or are you still looking into it? I think as for avoiding cops getting riled up and taking vengeance, you have the police force quite well under control and last I talked to Ken he didn't seem inclined to take matters into his own two hands, but I don't know him well enough to say for sure. I will certainly keep my eyes and ears open, though. The best way to avoid vigilantism is to keep everyone busy, though. Perhaps Ken could review all the files and see if something stands out to him particularly, he should have a different viewpoint than us. Unless he's already done that?
Piglet could be anything from an accidental poisoning to a red herring to actually negating any attempt behind the attacks.

The pies came through his bakery; I'm not sure that he can be called innocent for distributing suspect goods blindly. I'd call him guilty, but like I said we'll do what we can, keep digging.
I'm not sure, I'd assume he's at least looked at everything, but once he's back in good shape, I'll see what he can do.
That's true. Though for the time being, I'm going to approach most of this as if he's coincidence. It'll hurt less than assuming that it's more complicated than that until new facts show otherwise.

Nope, but we can take down descriptions from the victims, see if they match the bakery's normal procedure.
The forensics team's still down there wrapping things up. You're welcome to go down and do a little investigating if you'd like, I don't know in what shape some of our guys are after that big fight a few nights ago.

And I'll take any suggestions from you. Gladly.

[OoC: So, wait, do the police officially know anything with the Lucifer plot?]

[ooc: Depends. But, three injured and one killed; safe to say in this small of a force that the cops know when their own have been hurt.]
