I think this is gonna rock.... (via Slashdot by way of BBC News)

The series will be set between episodes three and four of the film saga. It would cover the 20 years in the life of Luke Skywalker growing up that remains a mystery to most film-goers. While we're betting: Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best in the regular cast. Reckon they need the work.

Indeed. I met Ahmed Best after a play in LA (a friend of a friend was in it, so I had a chance to hang out with the cast). Nice guy. I couldn't help but wonder what it's like to have portrayed the most hated character in the SW universe (I didn't have the guts to ask). I did ask if he ever went to the conventions.

"No, it's kinda weird... a lot of strange people there."

He said this as he handed back the Jar Jar Binks bubble bath container that he just autographed for me. "Yeah, I know what you mean."
