The greatest anti-war album included the word “war” once and didn’t even allude to the term “peace”. Some would call me a hypocrite, supporting a war and memorizing the lyrics of this album. Reminds me a little bit of the look on Tom's face when he saw Green Day's American Idiot album in my car. He immediately said, "Aren't you conservative" and my response was, "I grew up on Green Day."

the ironic thing, of course, is that all you've done is take the more conservative upbringing you've had, take your different feelings and a need to feel superior over people who, in all likelihood, aren't as well informed as they should be (I don't think anyone is), but given the way the war is being conducted and for the reasons it's being conducted, should still be raising as much ruckus as they can. any decent conservative--i.e. most everyone from the Bush I administration who avoided making this mistake the last time around-should be right up there too. bush ii is by no means a 'conservative' president when it comes to either his highly interventionist foreign policy or expansionist fiscal policy ( ... )
