[For the video fans: Feferi's room suddenly got a lot more extravagant. This is what happens when you're a mobster's child. I've done a bit of business for the princess' dear old dad, and it's been a while since I dropped in to pick up the cabbage I'm owed. [Obviously lines she's heard from her father but delivered with no less fervent belief than if she'd thought them herself]

"Nah, you know me. I got a heart of gold."

I ain't encouraged by the fact that she's probably getting herself into trouble, but at least she's got a good head on her shoulders.

"Just been kinda busy. Had to pay a little visit to an old friend, if y'know what I mean."

Glad to hear it. You know how he gets when he thinks people are all set to leave him behind for what they think is the better deal.

[And through the cheery smile there's that tiniest hint of malice that says she wouldn't hesitate to report back if he was trying to escape his commitments]
