Oh my god, this art is phenomenal! O.o I can't choose a favorite. The banner? The one with a curled-up skeleton? And thank you for including those notes on history and inspiration, they were a delight to read. And now I need to read this fic asap...

Thank you so much! Lol, I've created a dilemna, have it? That's a first ^_^ I am glad you enjoyed my History of Art rant, I wasn't sure I should include it on the basis of sounding too pompous, but in the end the nerd won-out! Good to hear people thought it made a good read.

Gorgeous art! Those skeletons are super cool and look almost friendly (I'm laughing at the one lounging around in a chair with a cocktail <3)

Thank you. Yeah! I am glad you enjoyed the humor aspect, it's actually a pretty important part of this particular art genre, so I am glad that some of the gallow's humor translated over XD

This is completely amazing!

Art depicting the Danse Macabre (including that silhouetted scene out of Bergman's The Seventh Seal) has always fascinated me, and your take is absolutely beautiful. I love how Death is striding confidently towards the dark - it reminds me of the Pied Piper. There are so many beautiful details in the faces and postures, but I especially like those dark spots surounding the dance, thinning out along the line of people - it could be mold on very old paper/canvas or a fairly modern depiction of a virus. I also don't know if it's of significance in the fic, but somehow I really like that Sam and Dean are barefoot :)

Wonderful work.

Oh, and thank you for explaining some of your reasons and inspirations and providing links - I love having a little peak into the process of art creation.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment, I am glad my work appeals to you. Ha, I didn't even think of the Seventh Seal, but, there you go XD I am glad that my art was impactful and evocative of a such an iconic bit of graphic art (it's quite the movie poster). Yeah, the dark spots can be interpreted as a whole host of things I'm sure, an ash cloud on the wind, a swarm of insects (both of which feature quite heavily in the story), a representation of mold or bacteria, as you mentioned, decay, artistic license, etc. The decision to leave the boys barefooted was a kind of sporadic on my part. I just liked the added sense of vulnerability I guess. I'm glad that the art history rant was interesting, I wasn't sure if it would be -_-'

That is some gorgeous art! I especially love the illuminated letters. That first one is quite haunting.
