I'm so, so sorry. I'm glad you were able to be there for him, and that you got to say the things you wanted to say to him. I don't know if it makes the tragedy of losing a friend, especially at a far too young age any easier to bear, but I'm sure it meant a lot to him to hear it.
It didn't make it easier, but it definitely made it better. You never stop wishing for more time, but...he's gone, and we did the best we could with what we had, and that's all I can ever hope for, really. See you tonight xoxo
Although circumstances vary, you said everything we all wanted to. Thank you so much for your bravery and honesty and generosity. I was so glad to visit with you, as well as Gord, and to see the two of you together. I'm sorry I wasn't there today. I'm so glad you were able to be. Sending love and good energy. He loved you best scarecrow. :) Jenn

I don't know you or your friend Gord, but I saw (my dear friend) Flannery Fielding's post and felt compelled to comment. How wonderful for both of you that you could be there for him in every sense of the word, and comfort him on his journey. I don't mean to intrude on your grief, but feel so touched by your story.

It's been great seeing you too. (though I dunno if you'll ever see this comment!) I look forward to your repatriation.
