When I first moved to Utah, the house I moved into had a guy who had lived there for 5 years and was just about to move away because he finished his PhD in creative writing

Maybe get back into writing for fun, like RPing on T-S again? I'm like Puck, I don't necessarily think that you need schooling in creative writing if you have the natural talent. A lot of authors and such don't have degrees in creative writing, but rather other areas. Maybe rather than taking a whole degree in creative writing, take a class at a community college with cheap fees so you're not spending heaps of money on the degree.
I guess I honestly do feel as though writing is more about practice, less about being taught.
You think so? I feel like I'm okay at writing, but then I've never taken any classes or anything, and I've never really written anything for an audience apart from some RPs on T-S a long time ago. I guess part of this was maybe looking for something to do if/when I graduate next semester, because I really have no idea. This whole college thing (provided it works out and I get into the one I want) also gets me out of Oklahoma and to Boston where I have several friends who have been wanting me to come visit/live for ages. It's a little scary to think about.
Move there anyways if that's where you want to be, but if you join a graduate program just for the sake of something to do it won't get you far and it'll drain more of your money. Make yourself write some more and see how that goes before joining a degree program.
