The snow is back with vengeance! We had a good downpour of it from late November up until about maybe a week and a half ago, but lately it's been reasonably mild (i.e. 4 degrees Celsius (39F) with a wind chill factor bringing it lower than that, which isn't exactly mild!), but the past day or so just before the new cold front moved in, the chill ( Read more... )

It's crazy how much snow there is already and it is still going, aaahh!! I'm really worried our Tesco order isn't going to be delivered on Tuesday too. I hope both our orders get here.. Last thing I want to do before christmas is to go grocery shopping. D:

Woke up this morning to find this on the wall across the street, lol - http://www.flickr.com/photos/lauracet/5268599238/

Oh, lordi :D I'm guessing that's been done by kids from the Markets :D

Do not want to have to deal with Tesco's in the city centre just before Christmas >_< It will be a nightmare! If it happens, fingers crossed they still have decent turkeys!

Jeez turkey! I couldn't imagine having to hunt for one so close to christmas - makes me thankful I was raised a veggie!

Feel free to send some of that snow our way, we've had nothing all year and it's starting to make me nervous. oO;;

I think we've maybe stolen your weather! It's normally about 5 - 8C (40-46F) here during the winter, with maybe a peak or two below that in January, but since late November it has mostly been a steady -3C during the day and -10C at night. Though last night we hit a record -18C in one part of the country! I've never heard of such here. It's apparently Northern Ireland's worst weather in 25 years.

At the minute in Belfast city centre (where I live) it's -9C at 9.30 in the morning! That's unheard of, being a city next to the sea. And we've had a few inches of constant snow for days, while snow rarely normally lasts a day or two in the city. My parents, who live near a town in a more rural area, have over a foot!

We're not used to it, so we're completely not prepared. I have a friend originally from Canada lamenting about the difficultly of getting snow tires here.

So, yeah, if you want it back, you can have it :D Though wouldn't mind a little snow on Christmas Day :)
