I'm a contractor so no vacation OR sick time :( But my boss is cool with me adjusting my hours around this kind of stuff provided the work gets done.

Aye, LA would be huge...don't know how to swing the massive amount of cash to cover airfare or gas (plus driving would mean even more time away from work). Maybe the gods will smile and something will work out.

I wonder if we could find someone to sponsor us...
