Wondering what the dream means

The martial arts school may represent a safe place, full of trust and support, someplace comfortable. The disgusting images may be your mind's way of illustrating how much something from your past is no longer what you remember it to be-- not just a place or community, but perhaps a person or relationship. Have you felt disappointment lately?

Everything that follows is purely Freudian, and so not necessarily an accurate description of anyone's inner life but Freud's. That having been said, here we go:

Interiors are often a metaphor for the self. You say that this place gave you a feeling of being part of a community. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that this place, in dream logic, represented the part of you that feels like you're part of a community.

Urine is often symbolic of something we're getting rid of. Maiming is a symbol of feeling unfairly judged. All together, I think you're feeling that your sense of being part of a community is decaying, that people are pushing you away.

You left, which is good, as that suggests you feel you're taking action to build a new community, but you were barefoot, so you're not certain that what you're doing will work.

Perhaps the community in question is the friends and family you left behind in Texas?
